Juncos Achieved His First English Podium at Silverstone

Leandro, son of Ricardo Juncos, finished third in one of the GB4 Formula races held at the legendary British circuit.

“It was fantastic. The car was incredible, Hillspeed did an excellent job. We’ve been working hard all weekend and getting a double podium is huge for us,” said an elated Leandro Juncos about his third-place finish in the last of the three GB4 races, where he stood on the podium at a legendary track like Silverstone.

The son of Ricardo Juncos, owner of the Juncos Hollinger Racing IndyCar team, wrapped up a notable weekend in the race won by his teammate Daniel Guinchard, which had to be temporarily neutralized with a Safety Car.

“It’s crazy just surviving the first lap, seeing where you land, and managing the race from there. I think without the Safety Car we could have gotten at least second place. We’re working on the car and I believe we’ve taken big steps forward. Looking ahead, we can definitely take a lot from this into the next race,” added Juncos, who was accompanied by his father.

It’s worth noting that in the other two races, he finished 9th in the first and 6th in the second, which were won by Alexandros Kattoulas and Isaac Phelps, both from Elite Motorsport.

The championship will continue at Oulton Park from May 23 to 26. Guinchard leads the standings with 124 points, while Juncos sits fifth with 35 points.
